Guidelines for Manuscripts

The African Journal of Political Sciences (AJPS) seeks manuscripts that make outstanding contributions to scholarly knowledge about notable theoretical concerns, empirical issues, or methodological strategies in any subfield of political science. Manuscripts submitted for review should address an important research problem or question, display a high level of creativity or innovation in research, contribute in a novel way to a body of knowledge, and also (as appropriate) demonstrate state-of-the-art use of appropriate methodology

The African Journal of Political Sciences does not review manuscripts that:

• Do not contain original arguments or analyses;
• Are not analytically rigorous, of high quality, and self-contained;
• Do not have appropriate Institutional Review Board approval for studies involving human subjects;
• Are unsolicited responses to recently published articles;
• Are book reviews or essays on current events;
• Are simultaneously under review elsewhere;
• Contain material that has already been published elsewhere (without appropriate citation or acknowledgment);
• Fail to comply with the substantive, stylistic, formatting, and anonymity requirements described above;
• Have been reviewed previously at the African Journal of Political Sciences
• Articles are selected for publication in the AJPS on the basis of a double-blind review process. Authors and co-authors of submissions to the AJPS are expected to review manuscripts for the Journal. The AJPS Editor reserves the right to refuse submissions from authors who repeatedly fail to provide reviews for the Journal when invited to do so.

The Editors of the African Journal of Political Sciences seek to provide constructive and informative manuscript reviews that provide authors with useful information regardless of the ultimate editorial decision. We are also committed to providing authors with efficient and timely turnaround when processing submitted manuscripts. But the speed of the process is directly affected by the timeliness of referee responses. Accordingly, it may take several months to complete the review of a manuscript. Note also that all reviews are advisory to the AJPS Editor, who is solely responsible for publication decisions. Editorial decisions are final on all manuscripts. No appeals are accepted, with the exception of specific points of procedural errors in the review process.

Posting Rules Articles:
Articles submitted for publication in the Journal should not be submitted for publication in any journals or journals or submitted at any conferences or seminars
The full responsibility of the opinions expressed in the articles published in the Journal is the responsibility of the author and not of the Editorial Board
Articles must be free from stylistic, typographical, linguistic, grammatical, and spelling errors
You must write articles in Microsoft Word only
Sources and references must be stated in accordance with the methodology of the research methodology
Articles should not be part of a research thesis or thesis
The researcher must follow search rules in the order of sources and references
The editorial board has the right to view / reject articles.
The subject matter of the article must be relevant and relevant
The researcher is committed to completing the amendments recommended by the experts
The researcher must be provided with a copy of the magazine in which his article is published free of charge
The article should not exceed ten (25) pages, including annexes and references
The researcher must send an electronic copy of the article to the email address of the journal

Procedures for selecting articles:
The researcher will receive the receipt notice within two weeks from the date of receipt.
The editorial board may select two experts from the selection committee to verify the article. After a confidential verification of the article to verify its suitability for publication, it will be sent to the researcher who is obliged to accept the observations of the members of the selection committee.
After accepting the publication in the journal, the researcher may obtain a copy of the article in its final form, together with a letter of acceptance for publication in the journal.
After the article is accepted, it can not be reconsidered.
After the article is accepted, the researcher can not submit the article for publication elsewhere.
The published article will once be the property of the magazine and may not be republished elsewhere.
