Instruction to Author

International Journal of PharmaO2 (IJPO)  is a Bimonthly international journal which publishes innovative and genuine research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications in the field of Pharmaceutical sciences which includes Pharmaceutical  Technology, Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry, Computational Chemistry and Molecular Drug Design, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy, Cell Biology, Genomics and Proteomics, Pharmacogenomics, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology of Pharmaceutical Interest.

International Journal of PharmaO2 (IJPO) allows free unlimited access to abstract and full-text. The journal focuses on rapid publication with facilities of, online research article tracking etc.

Manuscripts are accepted of high quality (not previously published and not under consideration for publication in another journal) will be published without delay.

International Journal of PharmaO2 publishes the following manuscript types:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Short Communications Original Research Articles Preparation of Manuscript

The manuscript should be typed, double-spaced (except Abstract) on standard-sized – paper (8.5" x 11") with 1" margins on all sides. Prepare the manuscript in Microsoft Word format (Version 2003) in Times New Roman font using a font size of 12. The fonts used in the text as well as graphics should be restricted to Times New Roman, Symbol and Zapf Dingbats.

The pages shall be numbers consequently. The length of Review/Science Education article should not exceed 25 manuscript pages to include figures, tables and references. These entire MS word document with graphs and illustration pasted in it shall not exceed 1 MB.

A research articles typically should include the following in the order given below;

Title Page

Title should be in Title Case; the first character in each word in the title has to be capitalized. Authors and Co- Authors with their affiliations: Each author must provide their full name including their forenames and surname. The Corresponding Author of the manuscript must be marked with an asterisk, and must be listed first. In addition the corresponding author must include complete postal address

with telephone and e-mail at the bottom left corner of the title page. If any of the co-authors are from different organizations, their addresses too should be mentioned and indicated using numbers after their names. Maximum 6 authors should be allowed.

Abstract page

Not more than 300 words. Should start on a new page after the title page and should be typed in single-space to distinguish it from the Introduction. Abstracts should briefly reflect all aspects of the study, as most databases list mainly abstracts.

Keywords

Below to the abstract should not more than 6 keywords.

Introduction

State the purpose and summarize the rationale for the study or observation.

Materials and Methods

Materials and/or subjects utilized in the study as well as the procedures undertaken to complete the work. The methods should be described in sufficient detail such that they could be repeated by a competent researcher. The sources of all major instruments and reagents used (kits, drugs, etc) must be given with parentheses. Illustrations and/or tables may be helpful in describing complex equipment or elaborate procedures. The statistical tool used to analyze the data should be mentioned. All procedures involving authentication of plant materials, experimental animals or human subjects must accompany a statement on ethical approval from appropriate authentic society and ethics committee must be produce when ask by Editorial board.

Results and Discussion

The data should be presented in a coherent sequence so that the report develops clearly and logically. The same data should not be presented in tabular and graphic forms. Please avoid unnecessary use of graphs and tables. Data should not be interpreted or discussed in results section. However, in some cases results and discussion could be combined as one section.

Conclusion

The principal conclusions drawn from the results and their important implications. Information presented under results and discussion should not be repeated. The conclusion should not be unnecessarily lengthy and verbose.

Conflict of Interest

Conflicts of interest have to be declared.

Acknowledgements (if any)

The source of any financial support, gifts, technical assistance and advice received for the work being published must be indicated in the Acknowledgments section.

References

Text citations should follow the Harvard system and thus put the last name of the first author and the year of publication within parentheses unless the author’s name immediately precedes the citation {i.e. ‘‘recent work [Dalmarco, 2010]’’ (Orafidiya & Oladimeji, 2002) or ‘‘recently Goyal et al. (2011)’’]. References should be listed alphabetically by year. Issue number required only when each issue of a volume begins with page 1.

Standard journal article:

List the first six authors followed by et al.

Book and other monographs:

Tables

Tables should be numbered with Roman numerals according to their sequence in the text, and have a short self-explanatory heading. Use SI units. Tables should include vertical rules, but horizontal rules should separate column headings from the content. Authors should keep in mind the page layout of the journal when designing tables. Tables that fit onto one printed page are preferred. Detailed explanations of symbols, units, and abbreviations should be given below the table.

Figures

Figures should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals (i.e. Figure 1, 2, 3 etc.). Provide a brief title with each figure. All figures should be cited in the text. -File formats accepted are Microsoft Word (figures must be a single page), PowerPoint (figures must be a single page), PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, CDX (ChemDraw) or TGF (ISIS/Draw).

Appendixes (if necessary) Abbreviations used (if necessary) Review Articles

Should be about 15-30 pages long, contain up-to-date information, comprehensively cover relevant literature and preferably be written by scientists who have in-depth knowledge on the topic. All format requirements are same as those applicable to full papers.

Short Communication

New, interesting and rare cases can be reported. They should be unique, describing a great diagnostic or therapeutic challenge and providing a learning point for the readers. Cases with clinical significance or implications will be given priority. These communications could be of up to 1000 words (excluding Abstract and references) and should have the following headings: Abstract (unstructured), Key-words, Introduction, Case report, Discussion, Reference, Tables and Legends in that order.

The manuscript could be of up to 1000 words (excluding references and abstract) and could be supported with up to 10 references. Case Reports could be authored by up to four authors

Copyright

Submission is a representation that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors would be required to sign a form (to be supplied by the Editor) transferring copyright before the manuscript can be published. Download Copyright Form www.ijpo.in and submit its scan copy while ‘Submitting the Article’.

Ethical Matter

Authors publishing results from in vivo experiments involving animals or humans should state whether due permission for conduction of these experiments was obtained, from the relevant ethics committees, in the Materials and Methods section. In addition, authors wishing to publish research work involving human studies should also send a notary verified letter of approval from the Ethics Committee or the Institutional Review Board.

Processing Fees for Publication

Manuscripts submitted to IJPO are assumed to be submitted under the Open Access publishing model. There is no charge for the processing and publication of Review and Research articles for year 2019. Published papers appear electronically and are freely available from our website www.ijpo.in.
