Author Guide lines

SALU-Commerce & Economics Review (p-ISSN-2415-5284 | e-ISSN-2522-3291, www.cer.salu.edu.pk) is a peer-reviewed research journal published once a year.

Commerce and Economics Review aims to publish conceptual, empirical and applied research. The empirical research published in CER focuses on testing, extending and building management theory. The goal is to expand and enhance the understanding of business, management and economics through empirical investigation and theoretical analysis. CER is also a platform for insightful and theoretically strong conceptual and review papers which would contribute to the body of knowledge. Commerce & Economics Review publishes high quality research studies in the fields of marketing, management, organizational behavior, accounting, economics, public finance, labor economics, econometrics, and business law. Although CER has a preference for academic studies, however, it also welcomes research studies from independent researchers and practitioners.

Plagiarism Policy

Commerce and Economic Review observe zero tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. All the manuscripts are checked through Turnitin software before evaluation process. As per Higher Education of Pakistan HEC plagiarism policy.  

Policy of Peer Review

Commerce & Economics Review employs double blind peer review policy.

Initial Manuscript Evaluation

All manuscripts submitted for publication in Journal are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-chief and Editorial Board. Manuscripts which fall outside the aims and scope of the journal are rejected.

Referee Evaluation

After initial evaluation, the manuscripts are sent to two referees in the respective field. Referees are asked to evaluate the manuscript’s originality, methodology, contribution to literature, presentation of results and support for the conclusions, and appropriate referencing. Referees might accept the manuscript, reject the manuscript or suggest a revision. For publication of articles, two positive reports are required. Commerce & Economics Review aims to complete the all peer review process within 10 weeks (70 days) after submission (one week for initial evaluation, 8 weeks for referee evaluation and one week for final evaluation).

General Rules for Text: Please use the following rules for text, including abstract, keywords, heading and references. 

Font: Times New Roman; Size: 12
Paragraph Spacing: Above paragraph – 0 pt; Below paragraph – 4 pt
Line Spacing: fixed – 12 pt
Heading 1: Times New Roman; Size-12; Bold; for example, 1. Introduction
Heading 2: Times New Roman; Size-12; Italic; for example, 1.1 Research Methods
Heading 3: Times New Roman; Size-12; for example, 1.1.1 Analysis Result

Abstract: A concise and factual abstract is required (maximum length 150 words). The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, methodology, results and major conclusions. 

Keywords: Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 8 keywords.

Subdivision of the article: Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1., 2., (then 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2), 1.2, etc. Use this numbering also for internal cross-referencing.

Figure legends, figures, and schemes: Present these, in this order, wherever appropriate in the text. High-resolution graphics files must always be provided in the main text file.

Tables: Present tables, at the appropriate place of the article. Avoid vertical rules. Ensure that the data presented in tables do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article.

Formula: The text size of formula should be similar with normal text size.

References: 

Citations in the text should follow the referencing style used by the American Psychological Association.
