Description Vital factor that determines quality of higher education is its outcome. The outcome of teaching delivery by lecturers is presumed with gone with the wind because of their abnormal workloads in administrative tasks. Irony is that, institutions have grown wealthily but the students are stagnated. And particularly the education system has been derailed. The challenges faced by the higher education today are both new and familiar such as flexibility, political involvement, fiscal responsibility, efficiency gains, competition, quality outcomes, expansion for market-share and government policies. The key challenge that needs to be addressed to ensure credibility in Higher Education is to focus deliberately on innovation. The institution needs to be committed to the development of its entire faculty, ensuring they have the resources and capabilities to deliver an exemplary education and have systems of institutional self-examination, assessment, progress check and benchmarking. The continuous curricular innovation and program development will prepare students for an evolving, global society. Five practices that make an institution stand out from others are when they cultivate a culture of consistency in: planned human resources; advanced information and computing technology; blissful learning environments; proper student support; and continuous internationalization. Said or not, Academic development are to be given highest priority in an institution. It has to be a defaulted practice. This paper carries out pragmaticallythe approaches to develop the academic institutions.
