Preliminary Studies on Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni Plants Cultivated Under the Field Conditions of Southern Poland

Three forms of Stevia rebaudiana were grown in the open field of University of Agriculture in Kraków from
mid May to the beginning of October. Some parameters of plant growth and development such as height, width,
weight, share of leaves, and number of shoots, were determined. The quality of collected herb was compared taking into consideration
the content of steviol glycosides, phenolics, carotenoids, chlorophylls and ascorbic acid.
