ANTIOXIDANT STUDY AND PHENOLIC CONTENT OF CARALLUMA FIMBRIATA HERB

Antioxidant compound reduces the oxidative stress, which leading to reduce or neutralizing oxidation in cell. Antioxidant play major role in health protecting. The present study shows the total phenolic
compound and antioxidant power of ethanolic and aqueous extract of Caralluma Fibriata herb. The total phenolic compound study done by
Foline-Ciocalteu method and the antioxidant study done by DPPH assay, Hydrogen Peroxide assay, FRAP assay. The ethanolic extract of
Caralluma Fibriata herb shows higher antioxidant property than aqueous extract.
