THE ROLE OF MEDIA IN IDEALOGICAL CONFRONTATION: THE ORETICAL ASPECT

The article deals with the influence of media on public opinion, its formation, and the use of media as an ideological weapon. The purpose of this
article is particularly the influence of media on public opinion and the formation of the ideology. Released specifics of ideological confrontation
and the role of media in shaping public opinion, which allows predicting the social, economic and political development of the world. The analysis
revealed that public opinion operates in virtually all spheres of society. The author argues that the relevance of the topic is the trend of nationalization of the media. The article presents the factors that influence the formation of public opinion stereotypes and give the process a certain element
of spontaneity, unpredictability.
