The modernization of the Editora da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and the program to support scientific journals by the PROPESQ/UFPE have been determinants for the journal periodicity maintenance. In addition, financial support from outside the university environment also ensure continuity and the journal quality, such as from MCTI/CNPQ/MEC/CAPES, Fundação Museu do Homem Americano and Fundação Seridó, as well as, recently, the National Institute of Archaeology, Paleontology and Semiarid Environment – INAPAS/INCT/CNPq.
